Artificial Motion vol I

Not sure how I feel about all the AI hype that’s been going on for at least year now. I did have fun creating images and motion for my first set of experiments with generative AI.

This reel features a mix of AI-generated images, real photos, and AI-enhanced visuals, with examples of image-to-video, text-to-video and video-to-video techniques. The goal was to explore the motion and VFX capabilities of Runway Gen-3. All clips were upscaled using Topaz Video AI, with final edits done in DaVinci Resolve. Music by Yours Truly.

Image generators used: Flux, Ideogram, and Leonardo AI.

Stumbled on a high energy track, had a Kling subscription I didn't use – so what to do then? Well, try prompting a party that would kick us off into the new year!

I wanted to do this fairly quickly, so I worked directly with text-to-video and was amazed at how good the footage turned out with just a few simple prompts. Toward the end, I introduced some variation, aiming for things to get 'a bit weird' as the song intensified.
